Raziel is the angel of the Secrets of God. Secrets are knowledge kept confidentially and shared by a few. Secrets imply closeness and trust. Sometimes secrets imply initiations and the mysteries of life and death. Raziel is said to be one of God’s top seven angels. He is the keeper of the mysteries and the secret regions of the Heavens.

The eyes in Raziel’s halo are like flames that know the burning yet transcendent truths of life. Like all angels Raziel is sexless, yet he is portrayed as more feminine to represent the mysterious. The realm of emotions and emotion based thinking is more linked to females. (Men often say women’s ways are a mystery to them.)

According to legend Raziel wrote a book, Sefer Raziel, encompassing all celestial and earthly knowledge. Raziel stood on Mount Horeb and gave the secrets of men to the Jews. The patriarch Enoch is said to have taken the book, or at least a long peek at it, and claimed the knowledge as his own in his text The Book of Enoch.

Most of the secrets of God are not hidden. The secrets are right out there for anyone to know. An excellent listing can be found in the eight tenets of a spiritual life ascribed to the Buddha. Let’s take a look at two of them: right living and right action.

What do you suppose constitutes right living? The answer lies within your very experiences. Make a listing of 10 to 15 people, things, or situations that bring you delight. At the end of your day, review how many of these you interacted with. For tomorrow prioritize your list into thirds and reflect on the top third, the following day the second third, and the following day the last third. On the fifth day make revisions to your list and see the effects in your day. On the sixth and seventh days focus on the new listing. This is a simple example of studying your living (right living).

The next week will be focused on right actions. Take your list and make plans for enhancing your interactions with the people, situations, and things in your life and the lives of others. Follow the same format as above, prioritizing and working on thirds, then prioritizing and reflecting on the new. See how your life actions change!

Imagine yourself hiking in the mountains. As you climb higher you breathe in the fresh air and take in the sights of the trees, the earth, and nay boulders or stone formations. In fact, as you climb you realize there just might be a cave somewhere near by - a secret cave. This cave is also a Cave of THE Secrets.

Your next few steps bring you into view of this cave. Near the mouth of the cafe you see a shining light. As you focus you will see the light is actually a Being. It is the Archangel Raziel. He says you can receive a message, a secret, that is especially for your life situation right now.

The message comes out of the mouth of the Cave. It is a low hum, a vibration like a note. As you relax the sound from the cave, the message, decodes in your brain. It becomes an image, a feeling within, a knowing, perhaps even words.

You thank Raziel and he marks the trail to the Cave for you to find it easily again.
