Sue's Message: Angels and I have been acquainted a long time. As a child I believed in them. Like most parents, mine said there was one watching over me. Polls show most people do believe in angels. Many people have felt a sense of a heart warming, rejuvenating presence near them. Perhaps they saw something with their eyes, sensed a touch of a hand on their shoulder. Or maybe they just "knew" a messenger of the Divine was present in a situation.

My particular guardian angel is named Jehuel (gee hew' el). The first time i 'met' him he didn't leave his name. Jehuel, always an obedient servant to God, did his Master's bidding clearly, without any reference to himself.

The night we met was quiet and still. I sat alone reading in a pool of amber lamplight. I was peaceful, intensely focused on a book. Unexpectedly I felt a warmth fill my heart, an inner joy. I realized I was not alone and looked up.

Before me in a quiet radiance stood a man, fair of face. In his right hand he held a sword, and in his left a globe. The light around him warmed my Soul.

This man of light said to me, "I have come to show you that we ARE here. Spread the word for all those who will hear. Speak of the Glory that is God. Strive to feel this peace and joy always in your heart and live it in your thoughts and actions.

Then, as quietly and quickly as he had arrived, he disappeared into the light. What Jehuel left behind was a change of heart in me, and a memory of his essence that is unerasable. More importantly, the message he gave became the impetus for the creation of lectures, writings, workshops, and art about angels.

I rarely see Jehuel with my physical eyes anymore. Mostly he is a sort of "inner Muse", He connects with me when I go within in prayer. Inward prayer and reflection is, in fact, the simplest way to maintain a reliable contact with your own guardian angel. An angel is like a good human friend. Friends enjoy talking to us and being with us, so do our angel friends. Angels never give up on us, never get angry when we don't call. Like the very best of friends, our angel friends are always available whenever we need them and will go to great lengths for us.
